Chapter 744 of the Public Acts of 2022 (PC744) enacted the Age-Appropriate Materials Act of 2022, found in Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA) 49-6-38. The law states that beginning with the 2022-23 school year, each school operated by a local education agency shall maintain a list of materials found in its library collection. Per the Tennessee Department of Education, this requirement includes teacher classroom libraries.
