Bryan Kerns, Dobyns-Bennett High School Fire Management Services and Mathematics teacher, named the 2024-25 State of Tennessee Teacher of the Year at the TDOE's annual Excellence in Education celebration.

Jerry Adams and Gerry Harrison were inducted into the tenth class on July 30, 2024.

With few exceptions, the Board will hold regular monthly board meetings on the second Tuesday at 6 p.m. and work sessions on the fourth Tuesday at 6 p.m.

All enrolled KCS students will receive meals at no charge, regardless of socioeconomic status, beginning Monday, August 5, 2024.

Dr. Janice Irvin has been named the Kingsport City Schools Director of Early Childhood Education and Principal of Palmer Early Learning Center, effective July 1, 2024.

Priority status deadline is Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

No-cost meals will be served Monday – Friday to all children age 18 and under from June 3 – June 28, 2024. No meals will be served on weekends.

Non-Kingsport residents in Tennessee will now pay a tuition rate of $1,000 per student/per year. City of Kingsport and Kingsport City Schools employees will now pay a tuition rate of $500 per student/per year.
